Application

4 December 2008

Recently I’ve been applying skills I read online to my game. I realise I have the opportunities of talks/classes/sermons to learn something and apply it to my life, but I tend to be a very passive listener.

The most recent Ultimate blog post I read was this. So I tried timing my runs from the pull and it works like a charm. If anything else, it gives me the extra steps to get fired up and charge down the field especially on D. I should try it on O and go deep.

Getting bored on the Interweb

1 December 2008

I can’t decide if I want to re-organize my bookmarks and move them to del.icio.us or something similar.

And maybe move my RSS feeds to Bloglines.

Oh no! And I wanna move this blog to Tumblr but I can’t decide on a handle and I have to tweak the HTML codes. >:(

The Interweb is awesome but it gives me a headache. >:( Grmh…

Top 10 brekkie joints: Danks Street Depot

26 November 2008

Maybe the coolest looking brekkie place so far. Danks Street Depot also had excellent service and pretty yellow menus. I guess that’s what you get for a restaurant in Waterloo with a celebrity (according to Gilly) chef. The dishes were a little pricey too.

Top 10 brekkie joints: Kazbah on Darling

10 November 2008

Finally crossed the halfway mark. #6 out of 10. At the rate I’m going with breakfasts, this mission might have to spill over to ‘09!

Anyway, I tricked a whole bunch of friends to join me for lunch, but I picked off the all day breakfast menu. I did my research in advance and found they serve brekkie all day, but only on the weekend.

I decided I was over savoury eggs, so instead of getting the breakfast tagine of eggs and meat and breads, I went for the french toast. But I forgot the french toast came with bacon, double cream, syrup and caramelised figs. Out came a heart attack on a plate.

The waitress (great personality and patience) asked if I enjoyed my breakfast and I said it was great, to which she replied that she was ending her shift soon and will be having one of those. Except she was going to go to the gym after. And I was going to Adriano Zumbo to stuff my face with chocolate.
